Am I ever going to get a full night’s sleep again? Is this going to get any better?  If this is what you are asking yourself right now, I understand how you feel. I have been there! I remember asking myself this when my first child was born.  I refused to believe that this was how it was supposed to be. I refused to have sleepless nights, anxiety, being easily agitated due to exhaustion, and most of all I refused not fully enjoying my new son! I knew I had to find a solution to help my son become an independent sleeper and get my sanity back!

My husband and I realized we didn’t know what to do. We read books, got advice from family and friends, but we still were struggling to find a long-lasting sleep solution.  We were still just in survival mode and growing more exhausted by the day. That’s when we hired a sleep consultant. She was able to work closely with us and customize a plan that addressed our unique needs and concerns and lead our little boy to sleep.  He learned to put himself to sleep at nighttime and naptime and slept through the night. It was honestly one of the best gifts we have ever been given. I felt empowered and wanted to pay this gift forward. I knew there were other new parents out there just like us, struggling and desperate for help. This is what led me to become a Sleep Well Sleep Specialist.

My name is Meaghan Keeven. I am a Pediatric Sleep Specialist with the Sleep Well Sleep Specialist team. As part of this team, I have undergone a comprehensive training and mentoring program and continue to stay up to date on the most current sleep recommendations through continuing education. When I am not helping children form healthy sleep habits, I work as a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency room and other areas of a hospital. I love to help others and saw how much creating healthy sleep habits for my child, changed the quality of life for our entire family.
